„Mit Ulrike Haage (Flügel), Werner Neumann (Gitarre) und Katharina Franck (Stimme und Gitarre) begegneten sich drei herausragende Musikschaffende im Berliner Büro der GEMA, um gemeinsam ein neues Kapitel der legendären Band RAINBIRDS aufzuschlagen. In dieser intimen Formation entfalteten ihre Songs eine besondere Tiefe – poetisch, klangvoll und mit erzählerischer Kraft. Katharina Franck, Mitgründerin der RAINBIRDS, prägt seit Jahrzehnten die deutsche Musikszene mit ihrer unverwechselbaren Stimme und lyrischen Sprache. Ulrike Haage, Abert Mangelsdorff-Preisträgerin und Klangkünstlerin, brachte ihre feinsinnige Pianokunst ein, während Werner Neumann, einer der renommiertesten Jazzgitarristen des Landes, das Trio mit seiner stilistischen Vielseitigkeit komplettierte. Gemeinsam ließen sie Hits wie „Blueprint“ und wunderbare Kompositionen wie „Woman with a golden Eye“ und „Never gone“ neu erklingen.“ (press review @gema)
