August brings a unique concert in the Arctic Cathedral of Tromsø.

On August 13th, I’ll be playing a special piano concert in the breathtaking Ice Cathedral in Tromsø.

The programme draws from my two albums Himmelsbaum, written for grand piano, and Alles Licht, written for organ and piano. The music moves between minimal, classical, and boundless modern jazz.

The compositions on Alles Licht were created during the pandemic years, when I was searching for a sound, that could offer a response to a changed world. In that search, I discovered the organ as a musical dialogue partner for the piano.

For this special concert in the Arctic Cathedral I wrote a world premiere: Refuge des Souvenirs, in five short movements for organ and piano, a sonic experiment, with both instruments placed at a distance from each other across the church space.
